Full text of this case involving the UK changing its fishing vessel registration policy after finding itself a victim of 'quota hopping'. This meant that vessels had to be British owned or at least controlled by a British citizen based within the UK. The Court ruled that the UK had not acted accordingly with Community law and dismissed its argument, based on the Geneva Convention, that a genuine link was needed between a State and vessels displaying its flag.
