Part of the Europa site, the Information Society DG states its mission as 'ensuring that Europe's citizens, governments and businesses continue to play a leading role in shaping and participating in the global information society'. The site is split into the headings Our Institution, Topics, Newsroom and Services. Topics includes information on various themes including eBusiness and Culture, each topic has related links. Newsroom includes news and a library of pertinent documents and speeches. The eEurope section includes a News & Library section which gives access to important documents: progress reports, action plans and communications.
