BILETA - British & Irish Law, Education and Technology Association
BILETA was funded in 1986 to 'promote the use of technology in legal education throughout the UK and Ireland'. Its website contains really useful conference papers and other publications. It's a great place to check out current concerns in this area of law. The 2002 BILETA conference includes papers on diverse areas such as 'The Role of Copyright in protecting the creativity of Programmers' to 'Globalisation of Legal Practice - will there be any high street lawyers in 2010?' New to the site is ICT Home Page which includes information on software standards, distance learning and a fantastic bibliography.
